Copmany offers four standard service tiers and one non-standard one. Each is calibrated to a different scale of organisational ambition, budget, and willingness to attend a Tuesday 8:00am check-in.

Engagement Tiers

All tiers are inclusive of access to The Copmany Way™ methodology, branded notebooks, and at least one Senior Partner who has been briefed on your name. Pricing reflects the comprehensive nature of the comprehensiveness involved.

The Copmany Way™

Our proprietary methodology, as proprietary as a methodology can be.

The Copmany Way™ is the disciplined application of a series of phases, each followed by another phase, until the engagement concludes or transitions seamlessly into a follow-on engagement. The methodology has been refined over many engagements and is reviewed annually by the people who wrote it.

Phase 01

Diagnose

We diagnose the current state. The current state is rarely as the client described it. Output: a current-state diagnostic, in PDF.

Phase 02

Re-Diagnose

We diagnose the diagnosis. The diagnosis is sometimes the problem. Output: a diagnostic of the diagnostic, in PDF.

Phase 03

Frame

We frame the problem in a way that aligns with our solution portfolio. Re-framing is included at no additional cost during this phase.

Phase 04

Workshop

A two-day workshop with the relevant stakeholders. Output: a Mural board, three flip charts, and a sense of momentum.

Phase 05

Recommend

We deliver a recommendation. The recommendation is sometimes a further engagement. The recommendation is sometimes the recommendation we made last quarter, refreshed.

Phase 06

Re-Recommend

Following a leadership change at the client, the recommendation is gently re-recommended.

Phase 07

Implementation Oversight

We oversee implementation by a separate vendor. We do not, ourselves, implement. Implementation is what others do, well.

Phase 08

Sustain

We sustain the engagement. Sustaining the engagement is, in many cases, the engagement.

Phase 09

Celebrate

A closing dinner. White tablecloths. The Engagement Partner gives a brief, dignified speech. A photograph is taken for the case study which we will then be unable to publish.

Standard Deliverables

Every engagement includes the following, by default.

In keeping with our commitment to consistency, every Copmany engagement, regardless of tier, includes a baseline of standard deliverables. Variation occurs only in volume, weight of paper stock, and the size of the executive summary.

The Executive Summary

One page, double-sided. Bullet points only. Decision points bolded. Distributed in advance of every Steerco. Read in approximately three of every ten cases.

The Slide Deck

The deck. Always the deck. Constructed in 16:9, exported as PDF, and accompanied by a verbal narration prepared by the Engagement Partner during the elevator ride.

The Synergy Tracker

A live spreadsheet identifying, classifying, and ageing each synergy. Synergies fall into four buckets: realised, partially realised, aspirational, and aspirational with caveats.

A Gantt chart, gently fictionalised. Includes optimistic dependencies, generous milestones, and a swimlane for “Other.”

The Steerco

The Steering Committee. Meets fortnightly. Minutes are taken, circulated, and forgotten until the following Steerco. Chaired on rotation by the Office of Goverence.

The Stand-Up

A 15-minute daily stand-up which lasts 25 minutes. Attended virtually by some, in person by others, and absentmindedly by those joining from the airport lounge.

Pricing Philosophy

Value-based pricing, where “value” is reviewed jointly.

Copmany prices engagements on a value basis, a time-and-materials basis, a fixed-fee basis, or, in some cases, all three simultaneously, reconciled at the conclusion of each phase. Our procurement team will help you identify which basis is, in your case, the basis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions our clients have asked, paraphrased.

How long does a typical engagement last?

Engagements last as long as the engagement requires. We have engagements that have lasted six weeks. We have engagements that have lasted decades. We have one engagement which has, technically, never closed.

Will Copmany guarantee outcomes?

We guarantee that an engagement will occur, that deliverables will be produced, and that meetings will be held. Outcomes, in the broader sense, are influenced by many factors, of which our involvement is one.

Can I speak to a previous client?

Most of our previous clients are subject to mutual confidentiality. References can be provided in the form of a letter, signed by Copmany, on Copmany letterhead, regarding Copmany.

Do you offer fixed-price engagements?

Yes. Fixed-price engagements are priced at fixation. Adjustments to the fixed price are governed by the change-order procedure described in our Master Services Agreement, Section 14.3(b)(ii).

Will I have a dedicated team?

Yes. Your team will be dedicated, in a structural sense, while also serving on several adjacent engagements, in an operational sense. Calendars permitting.

What happens if our needs change mid-engagement?

This is, in fact, our preferred scenario. Changes in scope are managed through Change Order Template C, which extends the engagement and refreshes the Statement of Work.

Begin with a 30-minute call. End with a multi-year programme.

Or end with the call. Both outcomes are valid. The call is, regardless, instructive.
